OMCS International Launches PM Builder
PM
Builder simplifies the development and management of your maintenance
strategy. Its primary domain is geared towards the creation of common sense
strategies but for advanced users, it conforms to internationally recognized
systems such as FMEA, PMO2000™ and RCM. PM Builder has an inbuilt module
full of flexibility that conforms to RCM Standard SAE JA 1011.
PM
Builder is an entry-level maintenance and failure analysis package
designed for creating comprehensive maintenance strategies from scratch or
building on existing plant maintenance plans. This highly functional
software targets organisations that feel they have more breakdowns than they
should, and consider that proper preventive and predictive maintenance is
one of the keys to break that cycle.
PM
Builder can be readily used as stand-alone system or can be integrated
with most popular computerized maintenance management systems.
PM
Builder is very affordably priced. Pricing is designed to suit any size
business that needs to improve its PM systems in a fast and efficient
manner.
Benefits
The prime benefits of implementing PM Builder are:
- Inexpensive entry level
application for businesses with little or no existing PM Program.
-
Rapid PM development using a consistent and structured format output to
useable documents in a variety of formats including customisable PDF
checklists and work packages.
-
Maximised maintenance staff effectiveness. Comprehensive Preventive
Maintenance programs are essential to the productivity of personnel and
physical assets. Our experience shows that the maintenance personnel at
many sites have become at least 20% more productive when deploying a
comprehensive PM program.
-
Increased plant capacity. Independent studies (and our experience) show
that in organisations that are more reactive than they should be, the
application of focussed PM and some defect elimination reduces
maintenance related downtime by half.
-
Maximised effectiveness and return from investment in a CMMS. There is
little point in churning our work orders for PMs that are vague, don’t
add value or lack coverage.
-
Minimised maintenance expenditure. Maintenance costs are minimised as a
result of a move to a more planned maintenance environment. If you are
in control of your maintenance, the costs will look after themselves.
-
Improved safety and environmental performance. It goes without saying,
less reactive maintenance means a safer work environment and reduced
exposure to environmental catastrophe.
Key Features
-
Easy
to use process oriented screens that can be used by the experienced user
and the novice.
-
Maintenance tasks linked to failure modes and equipment hierarchies that
can be grouped within the software into schedules and exported into data
systems or stand alone documents that can be linked to most modern CMMS
systems. This eliminates the need for double handling of data resulting
in a single source controlled data system.
-
Extensive library function for building standard equipment strategies
and drag and drop cloning out to appropriate locations in the asset
register. Update the master and update clone function. Changing the
maintenance strategies on hundreds of like components has never been
easier.
-
Three
step process of create, approve and implement allowing recommendations
to be approved before implementation.
-
Multi
user or stand alone capability.
-
Equipment hierarchies can be imported from Excel or create the equipment
register with one easy right click of the mouse Copy and paste, drag
and drop functions make this task a breeze.
-
As
well as custom inbuilt reports that can be exported into Excel, the
Report Builder allows users to create their own reports and
spreadsheets. If you don’t like the export or report… change it. If you
want a new one…create it. It’s that easy.
-
Dynamic hierarchical or standard work schedules that can be created in a
flash using the filter option combined with duplicate schedule.
-
Schedules can be posted as a trial before tasks are approved.
-
Failure modes can be created from structured lists created and attached
to component types or free text for added speed.
-
Fully
customisable dropdown menus – Intervals, Trades, Corrective Action etc.
-
Structured Failure Mode definitions with Importing and Exporting
-
User
permissions can be allocated by area.
-
Auto
correct customisation via built-in utility means you can enter in a
short code and replace it with standardised text.
Optional Extras
-
Users can
purchase fully developed failure mode libraries for a range of common
component types.
-
Enterprise Data Collection Module (EDA) to assist in plotting your success
and identifying weaknesses in the strategy or equipment design.
-
Reliability Investigation Management System (RIMSys) Module to keep track of
your RCA or informal improvement activities.
-
